The Statement of Faith:

The Bible
1. The Old and New Testaments, consisting of 66 books, were written under divine inspiration. They are God’s word which is inerrant and infallible. The Bible includes all of the revelation that God intended of his salvation. It contains all that is necessary for faith and life.

God
2. There is one God who is spirit. His existence, wisdom, power, holiness, righteousness, love and truth are infinite, eternal and unchanging. God is one, however, He exists eternally in the Trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Work of God
3. By his sovereignty, God created the whole universe and rules over all creation. In due time, God sent his only Son to the world for the salvation of sinners by his will.

Human
4. God made people in His likeness. Adam was in a right relationship with God, however he fell and sinned against God’s will after temptation by Satan, and was judged and deemed a sinner. Sin and death entered into the world by Adam. All people have sinned and all are subject to God’s anger from the time of their birth.

Christ
5. The Lord Jesus Christ is both truly God and truly human. The Lord was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. In order to redeem mankind, Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for sin and was buried. He was resurrected on the third day and ascended into heaven. The Lord is seated at the right hand of the Father and serves as high priest.

The Holy Spirit
6. The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin. All who are born of water and the Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ receive new life and become children of God. The Holy Spirit dwells in each believer and conforms each one into the likeness of Christ.

Salvation
7. Salvation is a gracious gift that is given to those who believe that Christ died as a sacrifice for them. Those whose sins are forgiven will not perish but have eternal life.

Church
8. Church is the body of Christ and Christ is the head of the church. It is a gathering of newly born Christians who have been born of the Holy Spirit as a result of the proclamation of the gospel. In accordance with the will of God, the church will worship God, study the Bible, baptise new believers, share communion, proclaim the gospel, serve each other as servants of the Lord, contend together, love one another and wait for the Lord to return.

The Second Coming of Christ and The Last Judgement
9. The Lord Jesus Christ will come again to the world in bodily form. The dead will be resurrected bodily and all will stand before God for judgement. Believers of the Lord will receive eternal blessing and those who do not believe will receive eternal punishment. The Lord will renew all things when he returns.
